         Metroselskabet har siden 2010 været i gang med at anlægge den nye metrolinje Cityringen. Cityringen indeholder 17 nye stationer, heraf 1 ved Kongens Nytorv, hvor der i forvejen er findes en metrostation.

         Nærværende entreprisekontrakt vedrører udførelse af en transfertunnel, som skal forbinde den eksisterende metrostation med den kommende metrostation på Cityringen. Opgaven udføres i en samlet hovedentreprise som indeholder arbejder for nedrivning, byggegrubeindfatning, grundvandssænkning, monitering, beton, stål, aptering, el og trafikafvikling.

         Arbejdet vil foregå tæt på den eksisterende metrostation, som vil være i fuld drift under hele anlægsperioden. Der udføres parallelt med den udbudte opgave en ny metrostation på Kongens Nytorv, som anlægges af Copenhagen Metro Team (CMT) i nærhed af byggepladsarealet. Bygherren (Metroselskabet) vil stå for afklaring af grænseflader til CMT.
